California!

Last week we went to California for five days. Daddy had some business there, so I thought it would be a good chance to visit my CA friends!
This is my friend Amelia. She's almost 2. Our mommies were matched as penpals by their 5th grade teachers, and kept writing and writing (even before email and Facebook existed). Here we are, almost 25 years later!

Amelia clearly has more shopping experience than me.

Hugs and kisses!

Mrs. Shung is the best!

We went to a park in Moorpark where Daddy attended 7th-12th grade. I love playing "soccer ball"!

Lisandra!

Nicholas and his brother Dominic played with me a lot. They were so patient and kind with me even though they're four times my age!

Another not-so-perfect family photo... we'll keep trying.

And another...

I, however, am quite photogenic all by myself. There were tons of fountains in CA and I asked Mommy if I could stop and play at each one we saw. Isn't that what vacation's for?

We went to the hotel pool a couple times. Check out the video of me doing the pool dance!

On Sunday we went to the KidSpace Museum in Pasadena with my friend Allison. I'd definitely recommend this museum to all my traveling friends!

Then we went to Allison's house for dinner. Her mommy cooked some pretty incredible Korean food for us!

Just enjoying a morning coffee by the fountain.

Fountain number 4.

On Monday one of Daddy's business colleagues hooked us up with a sweet tour of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. I even got a name badge!

It was the morning after the Mars rover landed, so there was still a lot of excitement in the air! How cool is it that they landed a robot the size of a car on Mars?!

I got to see Mission Control from...

the VIP room, which had cool red lights for some reason.

Thank you for the tour!

On our last night in Californinia, we went to the beach. We got there so late that it was too chilly to put on bathing suits. I was a little afraid of the ocean, anyway, so this is about as close as I got.

I could have played in the sand all night!
