Merry Christmas

I had a very merry Christmas this year! How come wrapping paper is only around about twice a year? This stuff is great!
We went to the Schepis' house in Maryland for dinner. Here's the whole family: John, Chrissy (who's engaged!), Michelle (back from Australia), Marybeth, Huck the dog, and Joe!

I did some additional trimming of their Christmas tree. Keeps a girl busy.

Christmas morning at our house was quite the chaotic scene, but we got the job done!

This pretty hat is from my cousin Ava. I think Risa should wear it when I'm done. Thank you, Ava & Charlie, for all the excellent toys!

Mimi got me my first doll. She even looks like me!

I got a kick out of this elephant from Auntie Erica & Rich!

I'd make a good UPS employee. Lots of moving of boxes this morning.

On Christmas Eve we went to church, then had Ruby and her parents, Jessica & Edward over for dinner.

Ruby and I helped with the cooking.

Trust me, this didn't hurt.

More fun at Grandma's!

Here are some more photos from my visit at Grandma's!
We played with Grandma's pebbles for a long time.

I did some lounging and a lot of talking on the phone.

Future heart-breaker

Am I cute, or what?

One Fun Saturday!

Today we made our annual trip to the National Christmas Tree!
Oh, brother. Not the Massachusetts tree again!

Merry Christmas President and Mrs. Obama, Malia, & Sasha!

I studied the nativity scene for a long time. Just taking it all in.

Earlier in the day we went to Eunbi's first birthday party!

Eunbi got to choose her future profession. She chose the book so she's destined to become a scholar.
I carried these balloons around for most of the party.

Earlier in the day, Mommy took too long shopping, so I took what we call a Gap nap. When I lounge, I really lounge.

Babies on the Couch!

Here are all my friends from our Mothering Matters group! Left to right: Izzy, Skylar, Eunbi, Jonah, Philip, Ben, me, and Madison. Not pictured is Celeste. Pretty soon we'll all be so big we'll need another couch!

Highlights of 2010

Ellie's Top 10 list for 2010 (in no particular ranking order):
1. Saying my first word in July: "dog!"
2. Becoming more independent. I eat my own food, drink my own milk, fall asleep by myself, and can even unroll an entire roll of toilet paper with no assistance whatsoever.
3. Lots of people came to stay, like Auntie Judy, Grandma, Sara, Beth, and Mandie & James. (I was happy to serve as the 5AM alarm clock.)
4. Learning English. My latest understood phrase is "hand sanitizer". (No kidding - just say it and watch me rub my hands together.)
5. Dancing in the house and grocery store with Mommy
6. Lots of playing with neighbors and old friends like Ruby, Ben, Eunbi, and lots more
7. New cousins and friends like Risa & Sofia
8. Flying to Boston 4 times and going to NY twice to stay with Non, Kay Kay, Uncle Adam & Auntie Beth, Grandma, and Uncle Thomas & Uncle Joe. As always, I loved seeing cousins Ava, Charlie, Matthew, & Ben. I love Oliver, Emu, & Chicklet, too!
9. Traveling to England and Scotland!
10. Learning to walk. Now I'm really movin'!

A party for baby Alex!

Today we went to Washington, DC for a big party at Auntie Felicia's house. My new friend Alex is going to be born in February and I can't wait to meet him!
I loved playing with Nati (pictured here) and Melanie and all the fun favors and pens. By the way, does anyone know how to remove pen ink from baby hands? Just wondering.

Thanksgiving

The day after Thanksgiving, we went to the Rockefeller State Park Preserve. I did a lot of walking!
And tractor driving.
These turkeys were so happy to be alive.

Have you ever been so close to a chicken? This one tried to peck my fingers and I got really mad at it.

Here's everybody: Aunt Lorraine, Uncle Thomas, Uncle Joe, Grandma, me and Daddy, Brian, and Roberta (Mommy was sick, so you should be glad she's not in the photo.)

I was so excited to see Chicklet the dog again! I wasn't so excited to sit still, though.

I thoroughly enjoyed my Amtrak experience. I did some snacking, some running up and down the aisles, and a lot of visiting with all the nice people on the train.

Fun times

I've been having some fun times lately! My friend B and I discovered that Tupperware makes for stylish hats.
Here's me with B and Ben who came over to play today!

I put Mommy's hat on all by myself, and I'm very proud!

I went to Uncle Adam's and Auntie Beth's on Sunday for brunch and did some dancing!

Mommy and Daddy took me on the carousel on the National Mall. I was a little afraid at first, but then I warmed up to it!

My Great-Grandfather

My great-grandfather was the greatest in the whole world! He lived for 90 years (that's a lot!) and went to be with God today. I'm so glad I could know him for 15 months. I love you, Non.

Virginia's latest biped!

I decided this week it was time for me to... walk! I even walked in the mall with Mommy today (you're probably more shocked that Mommy was at the mall)! You can view a video of me on Facebook!

More Massachusetts Family!

A few more photos from my Massachusetts trip with Mommy. Here are Non and Kay Kay!
And Auntie Lis!

And Nona!

This is Oliver, one of Uncle Adam & Auntie Beth's cats.

I loved jammin' with Uncle Adam! (Now if Blogger would only allow sound in these videos...)
